Hard at work

It's a good thing I love what I do! And that includes my editorial work, although yesterday I became a temporary interpreter as well! Walking through the store to access the offices, someone frantically called: Does anyone speak French? in the same tone as someone asking: Is there a doctor in the house?

So I answered the call. A non-English speaking gentleman from Chile asked hopefully if I spoke Spanish. Not good enough for business I said, so we continued in French, which he spoke quite well. I interpreted for him until he got all the answers he wanted and his business concluded, everyone was happy, and off to work I went. I really enjoyed bridging that communications gap.

In Canada, the robin comes in spring, but across the pond it's a winter bird appearing on christmas cards. Here's my version.
