STart with your least favorite piece, and cutit carefully to preserve the best parts for what you want to make, and keep leftovers for your [future] scraps.
You can also use one as a background to stitching patches on and doing embroidery. Hope this helps!A bird in the handhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04722441286099105034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26118104.post-84228633344790603062013-02-28T14:54:48.757-05:002013-02-28T14:54:48.757-05:00It is so kind of you to answer!

I just never seem to have any scraps of vintage fabric, so I started eying my old linens. Some of the linens are dresser scarves, something I cannot imagine using. Even I am not old enough to advocate for that look to come back! I got a full-spectrum light to use for 30 minutes in the morning, and it has made all the difference. My sleep was totally disturbed, but no more. You can read the paper, or, in your case, create a wonderful piece of art, while the light is on. Several types of lights are available on Amazon. Thanks for the beautiful work.
A quick question - I have lots of old linens that are still intact. Do you have ideas about using these pieces? Dare I cut them?
Thanks!
Ellen
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
