Apronalia

I wanted to sew one of my quilties to something: cushion cover, tote bag, T-shirt, like that. I was all for a T, when something else happened. I was going through by fabric stash, when I saw this white, patchworked fabric and before I knew it, the T had become an apron. The quiltie is sewn on, but the otherpiece constitutes a pocket. And the vintage lace was waiting for something like this, because it was exactly the right length.

  3. Nicely done Colette. It does seem that aprons are very popular lately, especially with the release of 'apronology' by sommerset studios. Your apron does look especially nice, and it is interesting how it came about so spontaniously. Beautiful work :). I would be afraid of wearing something so gorgeous as an apron, for fear of spilling on it!

  4. It's beautiful! But I wouldn't want to wear it while cooking, as any splashes or spills would damage your lovely art. xo

  7. Beautiful apron but as everyone says too good to use for cooking. Perhaps as a "best" apron.
