Good news must be shared. Especially this kind of good news.
I called the Tax office today to let them know about my working situation, and ask them if they would be requiring a quarterly instalment from me this month. Being self-employed, I pay quarterly tax instalments based on previous year income. I have no qualms about calling the Tax Powers that Be because they are very helpful and friendly (yes, really; that is their mandate). I found out that if the amount of tax you paid last year is under a certain amount, you don't have to pay quarterly instalments, and, what's more, that amount was just increased, so I do not have to pay any instalments this year!
My dollies are multiplying. They are very happy for me!
