Roba mia/My stuff

This was my "altered vase" for my art group. (I missed you MUMAs. Sorry I couldn't make it.) The vase is the body, the head is a wooden ball that I painted and collaged. This was probably my easiest item to alter: the minute Carmi handed out the brown vases, I knew what I was going to do with it.

This is my growing handmade pillow collection. To the right is my antique Quebec chest of drawers made of pine which I've had, it seems, forever. It was love at first sight, and I love it still. I've been offered a pile of money for it, but I can't part with it. The top lifts up to reveal a secret space.

  1. what a beautiful antique chest. i love the carvings on it...i have antiques in my home, and they make me very, very happy. all of them have been inherited, or purchased from family members, and this makes them even sweeter~

  2. I missed you on Friday night Colette. Like you, I knew what I was going to do with the vase...but that was the easy part. Hope to see you soon!
