It's almost upon us. We wind up at the newspaper today: half the staff is coming in with baggage as they fly off to different parts of Canada for the holidays the minute we're done. Looks like it's going to be a rainy, not white, Christmas. Poor Santa is going to get soaked!

I don't know where to send you a message, so this is out of place. I read about how you got your name and I had to tell you my story. My name is Colette Gabriel. I was born on Bastille Day so my parents decided to give me a French name. They liked the writer, Colette, so they named me after her. My last name just happens to be Gabriel so I've been destined to learn about Colette and all things French (I'm from the states). I love that I have a story behind my name so it's nice to hear other good name stories.
