"Every day is a gift"

My love affair with fabric continues. I worked through the night on some new designs, while telling myself I had to go to bed, but somehow I couldn't tear myself away; I have to finish something before I can stop. It takes a lot of discipline for me to leave something unfinished for another time. I finally did go to bed, around 3.30 a.m., only to be woken by some drilling going on somewhere in the building.
Today I have a full plate. I proofread a weekly magazine, then onto the medical publication to start work on a new issue. Then back to the studio.

  1. It's beautiful Colette. Worth staying up for, I'd say. I was drawing a woman onto a wine bottle at 3am. I had gone to bed but got back up.

Sounds like a full plate for sure but a good one.

  3. I did that last week - was up writing until 3:30. Sometimes art takes precedence over everything else! Your design here is absolutely gorgeous!
